Hiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!
I'm also cursed...what would the superheros call curses? My kryptonite? I am cursed with intense, impatience and being enormously empathetic. I suck at waiting. I mean, I really, really suck at it. Ask my Lovey. It drives him crazy. I think that's what he loves least about me besides my face. Oh man! I'm kidding...I hope! :) And I know I'm abnormally empathetic because I've taken approximately 3 Facebook quizzes that have told me I am.
I feel deeply. So if you're sad, I truly, and naturally, think about how you're feeling and become sad too. When you're happy, I rejoice in your gladness! So, if I say hi to you and you don't say hi back, then I'm going to wonder what I did to make you hate me. When it looks like it's hurting you to smile at me, I notice. I am really good at reading people's emotions, so you might think that nobody is noticing, but I am. One time, my sister Erin made me watch this movie called "P.S. I love you" starring Hillary Swank and Gerard Butler. If you're unfamiliar with this movie, I'm about to spoil it. It's about a madly in love married couple. But the husband, GB, dies, but he know's he's going to die, so before he dies, he makes sure that his wife will still get flowers and notes and deliveries from him after he's dead.(Sweet, but also kind of assholey). I cried and was sad for a week after this movie. Because it made me so sad to think of how HS must have been feeling and what she must have been going through. I still say Shame on you Myron for letting me watch that! You should have known! :)
Anyway, I'm just saying, even if you're having a bad day, even if you don't feel the best, even if you don't want to be where you are, if someone says hi to you and smiles, just say hi back. Return the smile. It's not that hard and smiling will make you feel better anyway. Positivity and optimism go a long way in my book. Be the sparkle, not the dust.
Be the Sparkle! Like I mean, be the shiny, happy, super one and not the dull, angry, weak one. We're all heroes, you just have to find your super power. Mine is (at least I think it is) positivity, and being able to find the silver lining or at least being willing to find the silver lining. Silver Lining initials are SL. Sarah Laning's initials are SL. Coincindence? I think not.Look at me and my Mama over there in this very recent pic. I love this picture of us because: sweaters & hair. It also has nothing to do with this blog, I just thought you all should see it. That's how much I love it.
